The eighth-ranked Texas A&M Aggies are on the road in college basketball action tonight, taking on the Vanderbilt Commodores. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Commodores favored to pull off the upset at home in this one.

Hard to believe Vanderbilt is favored here, but it has been proven a number of times this season that winning on the road in conference is tough. Two of three Aggie losses this year have come away from home in defeats to Arizona State and Arkansas, which happened just last week.

Texas A&M has a strong resume to date, they own four Top 50 RPI wins, three of those came over teams from the Big 12. The Aggies are still in first place in the SEC standings and would benefit from another victory here tonight to move to 8-1 overall.

Vanderbilt has some decent numbers for a team with nine losses already on the season. Vandy has no bad losses on the resume and seven of their defeats have come to Top 50 RPI squads, five of which came on the road. The Commodores have upset both Alabama and Florida in home games this season, but Texas A&M would certainly be their biggest win on the year. The Aggies are coming off a nice win over Iowa State in the Big 12/SEC Challenge, they cannot afford a letdown in this one, even if it is a tough game on the road. Both teams can score points, so this one could come down to rebounding and getting a stop or two in the second half.

Overall, Texas A&M is the better team and they get the win on the road.
