The Penn State Nittany Lions are taking on the Michigan Wolverines today in Big Ten College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a noon start time and it will be televised live on the Big Ten Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have Michigan favored by a comfortable margin on the road to pick up the win.
This game is being played at historic Madison Square Garden today as part of a day-night doubleheader with hockey. The Wolverines are still expected to be without their best player in Caris LeVert, but Michigan has played well in his absence.
The Wolverines are looking at a very solid start to the Big Ten season at 6-2, picking up a win here over Indiana would keep them on the right track. Michigan has some tough games remaining on the schedule and finishing above the .500 mark in conference will help their tournament chances. Winning a game on a neutral floor over a Penn State team is attainable. Duncan Robinson leads the country in 3-point shooting at nearly 51 percent, Michigan will want to run with Derrick Walton Jr. and the gang against the Nittany Lions in this one.
The Wolverines will have to continue to battle on the glass as well. Michigan is not a good rebounding team but can’t get beat there in this one. They won the rebounding battle in the first game, but also raced out to a huge first half lead and coasted in the second. LeVert didn’t play in that game, either, but Michigan played well enough defensively to pick up the win.
The Wolverines are favored by double digits in this one on a neutral floor, if they shoot well they will win.
