The California Golden Bears are set to take on the Air Force Falcons in the Lockheed Martin?Armed Forces Bowl on Tuesday. The game is scheduled for a 2:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Golden?Bears favored to pick up this bowl victory.

California was a team that started out with an amazing chance to be special this season, but it quickly came crashing down to earth. The Golden?Bears won the opening five games to the year but then dropped four straight to fall out of any race before finishing with a 7-5 record.
Air Force won eight games this year, but the Falcons stumbled in the final two weeks of the season, dropping games to New Mexico and San Diego State, a pair of bowl teams, on the road. The final game against the Aztecs was the Mountain West title game. The Falcons did have a strong streak toward the end of the season however, winning five straight games to secure a winning season.

The?Falcons love to run the football, they finished with almost 4,200 yards and 42 touchdowns on the campaign. QB?Karson?Roberts threw for nine touchdowns but also had 10 picks as the Falcons are not a team that relied heavily on the pass. Jacobi Owens was a 1,000-yard rusher this season.

This is a rematch of the 2007 Armed Force?Bowl, a game where California scored 28 second-half points to pick up a 42-36 win.

This game could also be high scoring, California will be looking to throw the football all the time against Air Force. Jared Goff is an NFL?quarterback, he tossed for better than 4,250 yards and 37 scores on the season. The Golden?Bears have six players that have better than 35 catches on the season — those players have combined to catch 32 touchdown passes on the year and all average at least 11.5 yards per cath this season.

On the ground, California is not a great team, but it’s tough to see them lining up and running the rock against Air Force. California scored at least 28 points in eight of their games this season, they will be looking to air it out in this one against the Air Force.
