The Buffalo Bills are on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in NFL action on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Eagles favored to pick up the victory at home.

Lots of talk this week surrounding this game, most of it nonsense between Eagles coach Chip Kelly and former running back LeSean McCoy, now a member of the Bills. While there is certainly some bad blood around some of the big names in this game, hopefully it equates to solid football on the field.

Neither team has had the type of season it expected, though both are still in contention for a playoff spot. Philadelphia, Washington and the Giants all have 5-7 records on the year, but the Eagles are coming off a victory over the New England Patriots, so confidence should be high. Buffalo is also coming in off a nice win, beating the Texans last week to stop a two-game losing streak.

The Bills are 6-6 and currently sit in the eight spot in the AFC playoff standings, behind a pack that consists of Kansas City, the Jets and Steelers. The Bills have some work to do and would certainly need to pick up a win in this one to feel better about their situation.

Philadelphia’s defense has to show up. The Eagles have given up 20 touchdowns the last 22 quarters overall, yielding 45 points in losses to Tampa Bay and Detroit while giving up 28 to New England last week, the only win of the three games. McCoy should be able to utilize that to his advantage this week. The last month he has played better coming out of the backfield and he will certainly be juiced up to play in this one.

Overall, Philadelphia might have the more talented team but that doesn’t equal a win. Still, the edge goes to the home team here.
