Ohio State Buckeyes at Michigan Wolverines Start Time, College Football Betting Odds, Free Pick

The Michigan Wolverines are hosting the Ohio State Buckeyes in college football action Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ABC. Currently the college football betting odds for the game have this one as a toss up, with both teams being favored at some point the past week based on betting trends.

Michigan holds the all-time edge in this series between the old rivals, 58-46-6. The Wolverines have struggled in each of the last three years, though, dropping each to a Buckeye team that was ranked inside the Top 10. Both teams find themselves ranked inside the Top 10 now as well, the Buckeyes are ranked eighth, Michigan comes in at No. 10 in the new college football playoff for this week.

The winner will find itself in a pretty good bowl game, even if Michigan State isn't able to beat Penn State later in the day. Certainly Michigan and Ohio State games always have something big on the line, this year's game could find the winner taking on Iowa in the Big Ten title game if the Nittany Lions can come through.

Michigan has exceeded expectations with Jim Harbaugh in his opening season. The Wolverines have had an outstanding defense, they've been solid in the turnover battle and the offense, under graduate transfer Jake Rudock (from Iowa, no less) has helped them already win nine games.

Ohio State is still hurting from a loss last week to Michigan State at home. The Buckeyes could not stop the Spartans in the fourth quarter, despite Connor Cook being injured on the sidelines. Ezekiel Elliot took to the media to complain about his lack of touches offensively, which means he will more than likely get plenty in this one. Michigan will be ready, though, as the Wolverines have a stout defense that has been able to stop the run. The Wolverines rank fourth nationally in allowing just 100.7 yards per game on the ground to opponents, Michigan also allows just under 15 points per game.

Ohio State is right there defensively as well, giving up 14.1 points per game. Even so, Michigan's defense has been playing very solid all season. The edge goes to Michigan at home.
