The North Carolina Tar Heels are taking on the Kansas State Wildcats tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 10:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the college basketball betting odds for the game have the Tar Heels favored by a comfortable margin to pick up the victory in this one.

This game is the finals of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Sprint Center in Kansas City. Northwestern is taking on Missouri in the third-place game today as well. 

Carolina opened the season ranked No. 1 in the country, but lost at Northern Iowa in a game many highly-ranked teams would not play. Marcus Paige is not expected back as he continues to battle a wrist injury, but the starters for Carolina have been able to play well in his absence. The Heels just beat Northwestern in a game where all five starters ended in double figures, led by Justin Jackson and his 21 points and 13 rebounds.

Kansas State is coming off a blowout win over Missouri where they held the Tigers to just 14 points in the first half. Nobody for Mizzou ended the game in double digits either as the team shot less than 31 percent from the floor in the game. Kansas State ended with three guys in double digits, Dean Wade led them in scoring with 14 points and had a team-high 13 boards as well. 

Carolina is loaded with talent, Kansas State will have to do all the little things right in order to hang around in this one. Playing on a neutral floor is a positive for the Wildcats, especially with the game being played so close to home. Even so, Carolina is just too talented.
