The No. 1 Clemson Tigers are hosting the Wake Forest Demon Deacons in ACC College Football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Tigers favored to pick up the victory in this one at home in impressive fashion.

Clemson, still ranked atop the college football playoff rankings, has an easy game today with Wake Forest coming to town. The Tigers need to be effective and not just show up expecting to win, but note that the Demon Deacs have dropped four straight games, getting torched in three of them. And despite a 3-0 win at Boston College in early October, Wake Forest has not beaten anybody of merit this season.

The Tigers lolly-gagged their way through a 10-point win at Syracuse last week, an obvious non-impressive victory. Clemson is 10-0 on the season and can only help their cause in the final two games, taking on Wake Forest this week before traveling to play rival South Carolina next week. Clemson is clearly better than both opponents, Dabo Sweeney's team needs to bring an intensity to both games to ensure a spot in the ACC title game riding with some confidence.

Deshaun Watson continues to be a darkhorse candidate for the Heisman, but he needs to have a big game here to stay in the discussion. Watson is still completing better than 70 percent of his passes, the Tigers now have 45 offensive touchdowns on the season. Wake has been giving up almost 34 points per game the last four weeks, the Deacs are coming off a three-touchdown loss to Notre Dame last week where they actually out-gained the Irish.

Clemson will look to remain on top, they should have no problem beating up on Wake Forest.
