The Kentucky Wildcats meet up with the Duke Blue Devils tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the college basketball betting odds for the game have Kentucky favored by a slim margin to get the job done.

Both Kentucky and Duke come in with talented teams, each are expected to contend for their respective conference titles this season and could be Final Four teams as well. The two schools are loaded with rich history and that will continue in the future no doubt, they finished first and second in recruiting classes last season as the future continues to look bright.

Duke is coming off a national championship season last year and they do have some players returning for this season. Grayson Allen is averaging 27 points per game in the Blue Devils’ first few games while shooting almost 52 percent. He might be evolving into the go-to guy for the Dukies this season, though they do have five guys averaging double figures, including freshmen Brandon Ingram and Luke Kennard.

Kentucky has solid guards, Jamal Murray is a very good freshman to go along with Skal Labissiere in giving the Wildcats an inside-out game that can stretch the floor.

Isaiah Briscoe will be a focal point for Duke tonight, the freshman had a double-double in his first career game.

With excellent players on both teams, this early season matchup between Duke and Kentucky should be worth watching. Duke has some good experienced players back and John Calipari’s team will once again lean on freshmen for big contributions.
