SEC College Football Florida Gators vs Georgia Bulldogs Start Time, Betting Odds

The Florida Gators are taking on the Georgia Bulldogs in SEC College Football action on Saturday. The game, which used to be known as the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party, is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Gators favored by a close margin in this contest in this neutral site game in Jacksonville.

Georgia was considered a potential playoff team this season in college football, but they’ve quickly turned into a mess in the SEC. Georgia opened with four convincing victories but got blown out by Alabama and let that negatively alter the mindset against Tennessee, where the Bulldogs were out-scored 21-7 in the final two quarters to lose.

Greyson Lambert looked like the answer at quarterback for the Bulldogs early, but he has not been consistent in the last handful of games. Because of that junior Faton Bauta will reportedly make his first career start against these Gators, who have a solid defense that ranks 17th nationally at allowing just 314 yards per game.

The Bulldog running game needs to find a way to get productive in this one. It’s been very tough for them to consistently run the football since Nick Chubb went down but Sony Michel and Keith Marshall are both serviceable options.

How good is Florida? They were stomping people with Will Frier under center, now they have to make the switch to Treon Harris. He threw for a pair of scores against LSU a couple weeks back in his first start since the Grier suspension but only rushed for 20 yards on 13 carries. He’s a guy that can be a dual-threat option but will the bye week have helped the Gators enough to get Harris back into SEC speed?

Florida won this game last year as a double-digit dog. These games are always entertaining and should be close. Georgia has an excellent shot to win as an underdog.
