The Baltimore Ravens are on the road tonight on Monday Night Football when they take on the Arizona Cardinals. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Cardinals listed as a big favorite to pick up the win.
Arizona has looked like the best team in the NFC this season, they can improve to 5-2 tonight with a victory over the Baltimore Ravens. John Harbaugh's team has not been the team they've been the past few seasons, sitting at just 1-5 and they could be 1-7 after tonight's game and San Diego on Sunday prior to the bye week.
This start for Baltimore is the worst in franchise history (Baltimore's history, the 20-year one). But Baltimore could really have turned their season around in nearly every game as the team had a chance to tie the game in all five of their losses late or in some instances take the lead. Either way, the team is now 1-5 and the season is probably lost.
Arizona is coming off a tough loss at Pittsburgh where the Cardinals still piled up yards (469), but turned it over four times as well. Carson Palmer and the Cardinals threw the football a ton and there's no reason to expect anything else tonight. Palmer should be able to have a big game against the Ravens, both John Brown and Larry Fitzgerald have proven to be a great duo for Arizona at the receiver position.
Several quarterbacks have had big games against the Ravens all season, Palmer at home should follow suit.
Joe Flacco and Baltimore have a tough matchup today against one of the best defenses in the league. Steve Smith Sr. will have to deal with Patrick Peterson all night and Baltimore is going to have to throw the football consistently in order to hang around in this one.
The Cardinals are favored by almost 10 points in this one. With that defense, playing at home, it's going to be that type of game for the Ravens.
