SEC College Football Texas A&M Aggies at Ole Miss Rebels Start Time, Betting Odds

The Texas A&M Aggies are on the road in SEC College Football action tonight when they take on the Ole Miss Rebels. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Rebels favored to pick up the conference victory at home.

This is an elimination game of sorts. Both teams are 2-1 in the SEC West but with how LSU and Alabama are playing at this point, a second loss by either team here would keep them out of the race.

Ole Miss comes in with two losses in their last three games, the losses coming at Florida and at Memphis. They’ve been piling up points at home all season and they’ll have to post another big number in this one against a Texas A&M team that can also score points.

Hugh Freeze and company have taken some heat for playing Robert Nkemdiche on offense, he went down with a concussion in the squad’s last game against Memphis, which ended up being a loss. The Rebels now have some questions to answer when it comes to the offense, why is their best defensive player on the field in the red zone while they have the football? It’s all fun and good to see defensive players score touchdowns while being on offense, but this is the opposite side of that.

Chad Kelly and Laquon Treadwell have both had successful seasons for the Rebels offensively, but Ole Miss has not been a good running team all year. Being one-dimensional against Texas A&M might work if they continually hit for plays, but don’t count on that.

Texas A&M has a pair of young quarterbacks, Kyle Allen is the starter and his sophomore season has seen some growth. Christian Kirk has been the favorite target, Kirk has hauled in 39 passes this season but also note that Josh Reynolds is averaging 21 yards per catch and is the second-leading Aggie receiver.

The Aggies held Alabama to only two offensive touchdowns the last game, which certainly says some positive things about their defense. With Nkemdiche out for this one, it gives A&M a bit of an advantage and they have been playing better than Ole Miss the last month or so.

Texas A&M getting points is the right move here.
