SEC College Football Georgia Bulldogs at Tennessee Volunteers Start Time, Betting Odds

The Georgia Bulldogs are on the road in SEC College Football action this week, taking on the Tennessee Volunteers. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Bulldogs favored to pick up the victory on the road.

Tennessee is a mess right now. Butch Jones is dismissing players from the team, reports are he had an altercation with a player on the sidelines and the offense just isn’t working. Georgia comes in ranked 19th in the country with their 4-1 record and they will look to bring a physical game to Knoxville.

The Volunteers are looking at 2-4 if they lose this game and it’s only going to get worse for them. Tennessee has to play Alabama in the next game before traveling to Kentucky as well. The SEC just beats up on each other and Tennessee is going to struggle to end up having a winning season.

Georgia is going to run the football with Nick Chubb, Sony Michel and Keith Marshall. The Volunteers are going to get a steady does of the run game with those three, something Georgia has been able to succeed at so far this year. They’ve also gotten great play from quarterback Greyson Lambert, who isn’t near-perfect anymore but still have a successful season.

The Bulldogs were whacked by Alabama last week, their first defeat of the season. Prior to that Georgia had looked very solid on both ends of the football, but Alabama’s physicality when they needed it most proved to be too much for the Bulldogs.

Is Mark Richt’s team just another one that fails to exceed expectations or will they find a way to get things figured out? The Bulldogs have a couple of tricky games coming up with Missouri and Florida, but then they will clearly be favorites in their final three games.

Lambert is going to need a big game here against Tennessee to put Georgia back on track. The Dawgs will still run the football with ease and take out the Volunteers in this one.
