The Clemson Tigers look to keep their great start going when they take on the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in college football Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on ABC or ESPN2 depending on the region. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Tigers favored at home by right around a touchdown.

Clemson held on to knock off Notre Dame last weekend, now the Tigers need to follow that up by beating a pretty solid Georgia Tech team. The Tigers are very talented and deep on both sides of the football, but tackling the Yellow Jackets on every play while being physical does take its toll.

The Yellow Jackets were a highly-ranked team at the beginning of the season, they quickly fell in the polls after piling up a couple of losses. QB Justin Thomas has not had the same type of season he had a year ago and the tailbacks are struggling to break free and rack up big amounts of yards.

Clemson will want to spread the Jackets out, giving DeShaun Watson a lot of room to work in both the pass and run games. Watson has accounted for nine TDs through the air and one on the ground as well, his offensive stature in both aspects of the game will be critical for Clemson to have success.

One thing is worth questioning: will this be the same old Clemson team that can’t get it done in big games after starting the season off well? Clemson is tough to beat in their own stadium and if the offense can keep putting up points, they’re going to be continuing to climb the polls. The Tigers have some tough games coming up, but picking up a win against Georgia Tech is the top priority.
