The Toronto Blue Jays once again host the Texas Rangers today in the ALDS Game 2 this afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 12:45 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the MLB Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Blue Jays as a heavy favorite to pick up the win.

Cole Hamels is getting no love in this game, being a huge underdog to the Blue Jays. Certainly the Jays are a great team at home, but they lost with their ace on the mound Thursday and now have to find a way to get the win here or risk heading to Texas down 0-2 in the series. 

Hamels was acquired by the Rangers earlier this season to pitch in games like this, but at times it didn't look like Texas would qualify for the playoffs. A solid stretch by the Rangers the last few months allowed them to be in this position, including winning the last 10 starts by Hamels this season.

Toronto will give the baseball to Marcus Stroman, a youngster that has never had this type of pressure on him in his short career. The Blue Jays are really putting a lot of faith in the young righty, who won all four of his starts in September where he beat New York twice and won a pair of road games. 

The status of Josh Donaldson and Jose Bautista should carry a lot of weight in such a short time for Toronto. Both guys suffered injuries in Game 1 and it's uncertain whether or not they will play in today's game.

Either way, the Rangers are getting too much of a good price in this one. Stroman has never been in a situation like this and Texas has a lot of confidence going, but Hamels on the mound. They're taking a 2-0 lead back home.
