The 17th-ranked USC Trojans are hosting the Washington Huskies tonight in college football action. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the college football betting odds for the game have USC favored by three possessions in this one.

This will be the first time Steve Sarkisian has faced Washington since leaving the Husky program. Chris Peterson is now the head ball coach in the upper northwest for Washington, pitting two solid coaches against each other. Sark has been getting a lot of heat this season and much of that happened after Stanford knocked off the Trojans, but USC has plenty of time to get back into the college playoff scenario.

Conference play is beginning for many major schools and USC's schedule is a tough one, the next three are against ranked opponents in Notre Dame, Utah and Cal, plus games against Arizona, at Oregon and UCLA remain as well. This needs to be a comfortable win for the Trojans to keep the fans from showing up with pitchforks and torches.

Cody Kessler getting the football to JuJu Smith-Schuster and Adoree' Jackson will be key for the Trojans. Jackson might be the fastest player in the country with the football in his hands and Smith-Schuster is one of the best overall receivers in college football. Gaining a ton of yards against Washington's decent defense could be tough though. The Huskies allow just 4.56 yards per play to opponents this season, which is the best overall number in the conference.

There's not much Washington can do to win the game, covering the number will be tough enough. Each team is coming off a loss from last game, but USC is averaging 47 points per game. Their offense will be the key again tonight.
