The San Francisco 49ers are hosting the Green Bay Packers this afternoon in NFL Football action. The game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Packers favored to pick up the victory on the road.
Green Bay has been the Packers of old this season, piling up the points at an average of 32 per contest, they should have no problems scoring in this one. San Francisco has given up 31 points per game overall but they have been crushed defensively the last two games yielding 90 points and almost 900 yards of offense to their opponents.
Aaron Rodgers has been an MVP candidate yet again this season, he's pitched it for 771 yards and 10 scores for the Pack, four of those touchdowns have been thrown to Randall Cobb. Journeyman James Jones has also made an immediate impact for Green Bay this year, he has always had a great connection with Rodgers.
San Francisco has been a dumpster fire. The looked very good offensively against the Minnesota Vikings the opening week, since then it's been just awful. Colin Kaepernick isn't the amazing quarterback everyone thought he would be from a handful of year ago, but he still can be an improved QB. For whatever reason it's just not working anymore, though.
Green Bay doesn't have the best defense in the league, but their front seven should be able to keep consistent pressure on the 49ers today. Short week for the Packers coming off Monday Night and traveling out west, but this one should be a Packers victory.
