The Seattle Seahawks welcome in the Chicago Bears in NFL Football action Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Seahawks listed as a bigtime favorite to send Chicago home with a loss.
Seattle has started the season with an 0-2 record, making it a difficult road for them the rest of the season. Chicago is also 0-2 on the year, but nobody really expected them to compete for a playoff spot this season. The Seahawks, off back-to-back Super Bowl appearances, gets the Bears in the northwest where it's nearly impossible to leave Seattle with a win.
The Seahawks are getting Kam Chancellor back after he ended his recent holdout for more money despite multiple years left on his deal. He's going to play in this game and should get a lot of plays in, if not playing a full game. Chancellor makes the Seahawks a much better defense because of his leadership and overall presence on the field, hopefully getting him back on the field won't cause any problems for Seattle.
Jimmy Clausen is getting the start for Chicago at quarterback. This game would be tough for Chicago even if Jay Cutler was going to be getting the start, but having Clausen be the starter, against the defense, is just bad news. The Bears will be without top wideout Alshon Jeffery as well, plus Eddie Royal is expected to miss the game as well for Chicago. That leaves Matt Forte as the only real threat for the Bears on offense in this one, if Seattle can key in on him and take him out of the equation the Bears are going to have a very tough time doing anything right.
Jimmy Graham has not had a great start to his first season in Seattle, the big tight end doesn't seem to be on the same page as Russell Wilson, but that should change soon. Graham could take advantage of a Chicago defense that is surrendering almost 40 points per game to Green Bay and Arizona to start the season. The really bad news for Chicago is that they haven't played a road game yet, they've still been shredded to start the year.
All Seattle has to do is show up, pound the football with Marshawn Lynch, throw it a dozen times to Graham and pick up the lopsided win. The Bears are an absolute mess and it's going to be a long day up in Seattle. Double digits is tough to lay in the NFL, but Seattle is going to crush Chicago in this one.
