The Philadelphia Eagles are on the road taking on the Atlanta Falcons tonight on Monday Night Football. The game is scheduled for a 6:55 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Eagles favored by about a field goal on the road.

The Eagles under Chip Kelly have been certainly entertaining, if nothing else. The off-season saw them get rid of LeSean McCoy, only to pick up DeMarco Murray in free agency. Murray led the NFL in rushing last season and should be able to flourish in the Eagles' system, where Kelly has no problem giving the football to the backs and getting them into open space. 

Atlanta owns a couple of wins (and covers) the past two games against Philadelphia, those games coming in 2011 and 2012. The Falcons, under Matt Ryan, have been very solid in home games and have picked up seven straight wins in home openers. Ryan threw for seven touchdowns in those two most recent wins over the Eagles and he's also coming off a fourth straight season of tossing over 4,000 yards. Ryan is expecting to get the Falcons back to the double digit win plateau and Philadelphia ranked 31st in the league last year against the pass. 

Philadelphia has had a ton a turnover, but Kelly and his coaching staff don't seem to have a lot of issues with that. Kelly has been able to put together solid offenses wherever he's been and tonight quarterback Sam Bradford gets the chance to take the snaps for the Eagles. Bradford, the former No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, has been marred by injuries and had a lackluster career to date. 

Dan Quinn will make the Falcons better. The defensive-minded coach needs to help fix the Falcons on that side of the football as the Falcons ranked 32nd in the league in total defense despite being plus-5 in the turnover department. 

With Atlanta's solid play at home and them getting points at home, looking at the Falcons is the right play here tonight.
