The Kansas City Chiefs are on the road in NFL Football on Sunday when they take on the Houston Texans. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the NFL Odds for the game have the Texans listed as a small favorite to get the win.
Houston is once again going to have a very good defense. Kansas City’s defense should be pretty solid as well, making this a very interesting game. Both teams will want to run the football offensively as well, the winner of the battle at the line of scrimmage will have an edge.
Houston’s lack of a true solid quarterback might be a problem. Brian Hoyer landed the starting job for the Texans and the journeyman QB is going to have to do for Houston and its fans. The loss of Arian Foster will hurt as well, but head coach Bill O’Brien and the Texans believe in Alfred Blue and the stable they have at tailback.
Kansas City has their starting tailback in Jamaal Charles. He’s one of the best in the league and should get a heavy amount of carries against J.J. Watt and the 3-4 defense from Houston.
The Texans have won five straight home openers, Kansas City has lost three of their last four home openers. This point spread should be bigger than just a single point for Houston. Kansas City will run the football and play well enough defensively to pick up the close win.
