Monday Night Football Cincinnati Bengals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Cincinnati Bengals tonight in Monday Night Football action. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the odds for the game have the Buccaneers favored at home by about a field goal in this one.

Tampa Bay dropped their preseason opener to the Minnesota Vikings, Cincinnati picked up a double-digit win over the New York Giants in their first game. Will we see either team improve tonight? Jameis Winston got a lot of snaps in against the Vikings and looked OK at times, poor at others. Obviously it was his first real action in an NFL atmosphere, so expect him to get better as the preseason moves along.

Facing a tough Cincinnati defense won't be easy. The Bengals held the Giants to just 3.8 yards per play in last week's win and allowed just 118 yard through the air.

Andy Dalton was 3-for-3 in the game, tossing a TD pass to Mohamed Sanu on their first drive. Both should play a little bit more tonight. Cincinnati ran for an impressive 225 yards against the Giants last week as well, with several guys carrying the football. Expect more of that tonight, but Tampa Bay did do a decent job against Minnesota in their opening game.

Winston had an up and down first game, he was sacked twice and threw a pick. The speed is still a bit much for him at this point and he is still working on getting on the same page with his receivers. Hopefully he has taken some steps forward coming into tonight's contest.

Tampa Bay should get some more action from tailbacks Doug Martin and Bishop Rainey as well. They combined to carry the football just 10 times last week. That number should increase. The Bucs are favored by about a field goal and that tells us all we need to know.

Movie Oakland Raiders: 2015 NFL Free Picks & Betting Odds

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
