NFL Preseason Football Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City Chiefs Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The NFL Preseason Football action continues tonight when the Seattle Seahawks take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the NFL Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Chiefs favored by about a field goal to pick up the win.

Seattle has a bit of a problem on their hands if Kam Chancellor is going to continue to hold out. While he still has three year left on his current deal, it sounds like Chancellor wants to get paid just like Russell Wilson did this off-season. It sounds like Chancellor is committed to missing games until something gets worked out, so the tug of war will be interesting to see.

The Seahawks dropped their opening preseason game last week to Denver, a close 22-20 decision at home. In that game Seattle scored 10 points in each half but struggled to move the football consistently, averaging only 3.1 yards per play. They finished with 181 yards of total offense, almost 200 fewer than Denver. The Seahawks defense is still battling injuries to key players and without Chancellor on the field these preseason games could see them look a bit closer to average.

Russell Wilson threw, and completed, only one pass in the game, for 12 yards. He was sacked twice as the Seahawks continue to have some issues up front on the offensive line. Kansas City will want to bring a solid pass rush tonight and cause Seattle problems up front.

The Chiefs scored 34 points on Arizona last week, 31 of those game in the middle two quarters. Arizona took a 10-0 lead early only to give up 31 straight as Kansas City looked pretty solid offensively, averaging 5.7 yards per play. The Chiefs ran for 143 yards on the ground, averaging 4.5 per carry led by Charcandrick West and his 49 yards on six carries. Darrin Reaves scored a touchdown on the ground while Chase Daniel fired for three scores, completing 17-of-21 passes.

Andy Reid and the Chiefs will probably want to have the same type of offensively output tonight. Getting a chance to be efficient against Seattle won't be easy, but the Chiefs have more positives going for them right now than the Seahawks do.

Movie Oakland Raiders: 2015 NFL Free Picks & Betting Odds

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
