NFL Football Minnesota Vikings vs Pittsburgh Steelers Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers hit the field Sunday night in the NFL Hall of Fame Game. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. The Vikings are favored by about a field goal in this one.

The NFL is back on Sunday night as the annual Hall of Fame Game takes place from Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio. This year the Vikings and Steelers will take to the field as NFL fans everywhere celebrate in the return of what has become America's favorite sport. Both the Vikings and Steelers are looking to have better seasons than last year and while the preseason doesn't guarantee anything during the regular season getting out to a nice start is positive.

Minnesota certainly improved last season with rookie quarterback Teddy Bridgewater. He can only get better now that Adrian Peterson will be back in the fold for Minnesota moving forward this year after being suspended all last season stemming from an assault charge against his son. Peterson should be back to completely healthy after the time off and the Vikings believe he has rehabilitated himself off the field enough to be a part of their team. A consistent running game can only help Bridgewater improve upon his rookie campaign.

The Steelers are optimistic about their season. Ben Roethlisberger is back and Antonio Brown might be the most exciting wide receiver in the league. They'll be without Le'Veon Bell for the start of the season because of a substance abuse case.

Both of these teams will play five preseason contests, so it's tough to imagine any of the starters and stars playing any more than a series or two, if that. While the Hall of Fame Game is always nice to watch because it's still football, not expecting too much on either side is also important.

The under seems to be a fair bet here. The total is listed at 34.5 for this game, but do we really see either of these teams scoring that many points? This game is all about the return to football, not getting any injuries and just playing an exhibition game to kind of kick off the season. Offense will probably struggle.

Movie Oakland Raiders: 2015 NFL Free Picks & Betting Odds

Vegas betting expert Steve Fezzik doesn’t expect the bad situation in Oakland to get much better this season. This AFC West team may have some improvements in terms of personnel, but Jack Del Rio is the latest in a carousel of ever-changing mediocre coaches, and Fezzik doesn’t expect he is the guy to turn this team around. He also thinks people are overstating Derek Carr’s abilities at quarterback, as he may do well in the fourth quarter, but his numbers are padded with garbage time performance.
