Tuesday Baseball Betting Odds Kansas City Royals vs Houston Astros Start Time Free Pick

Tuesday night major league baseball and we will see the Kansas City Royals travel to Minute Maid Park to take on the Houston Astros in game 2 of their 3 game series. Free Pick to follow. First pitch is scheduled for a 8:10 PM (Eastern) start time and the game will be televised locally.

Betting Odds

Kansas City            +140
Houston                   -150

Over/ Under: 7 O -120

The Houston Astros got a big game from Lance McCullers, while their offense did the rest in the 6-1 win last night over the Roayls. The loss snapped a 4 game win streak by the Royals, but still they have the best record in the AL and a 5.5 game lead over the Twins in the AL Central. Houston has been mediocre of late, but still they have the 2nd best record in the AL and have a 4 game lead over the Angels in the AL West.

The Royals rank 10th in scoring (4.34 rpg), 2nd in hitting (.272) and 26th in homers (56), while on the mound they are 6th in ERA (3.51) and 9th in WHIP (1.22). Houston ranks 6th in scoring (4.46 rpg), 27th in hitting (.240) and 1st in homers (112), while on the mound they are 9th in ERA (3.55) and 2nd in WHIP (1.17).

Getting the ball for the Royals tonight will be Danny Duffy, who is 2-3 with a 5.44 ERA in 9 starts this year, while on the road he has gone 1-1 with a 4.50 ERA. Danny is 1-1 with a 7.20 ERA in 2 career appearances (1 start) vs the Astros.

Taking the hill for the Astros today will be Dallas Keuchel, who is 9-3 with a 2.17 ERA overall, while at home he has been superb, going 7-0 with a 1.39 ERA. Dallas is 1-0 with a 4.26 ERA in 2 career starts vs the Royals.

Pick: Gonna go with the Astros in this one. Dallas Keuchel has been amazing at home this year, while Danny Duffy has been very poor on the road and not just this year, but for most of his career. The Astros have been a strong team at home this year and showed it last nght with their 6-1 win. I say it continues tonight vs a pitcher that is very hittable. The Astros are 10-2 in Keuchel's last 12 home starts and I say that trend continues tonight.

MovieStop the All-Star Game Ballot Stuffing
Pro handicappers Teddy Covers and Steve Fezzik have a bone to pick with MLB Commisioner Bud Selig, who decided the All-Star exhibition game will determine World Series home field advantage. With Royals fans currently voting seven Kansas City players into the starting line up of the American League team, this popularity-based roster of an exhibition game which has way too much impact on the most important baseball series of the year.
