The Chicago Blackhawks are set to take on the Anaheim Ducks tonight in Game 7 of the NHL Western Conference Finals tonight. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the NBC. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Ducks favored to pick up another win in this one and head to the finals.

A victory by either game tonight puts them into the Stanley Cup Finals against the Tampa Bay Lightning. If the Ducks win, it'll be the first Cup finals featuring two teams from predominantly warm cities. Chicago, a more NHL-feeling type town, has had recent success by getting to the Western Conference Finals each of the last three seasons, but will they be able to win tonight in order to reach the pinnacle of professional hockey?

Anaheim just got blasted in Chicago in Game 6, where the Blackhawks poured in five goals and dominated the style of play, especially in the final two periods where they scored all five tallies. 

Corey Crawford was good enough in that game, keeping the Blackhawks above water when Anaheim came with the offensive rush. The Ducks will continue to go that route again tonight, but look for the Ducks to start it much earlier. Anaheim loves to get on top of teams and score quick goals, giving them an advantage. 

There's star power on both teams, there's solid goal tending and tonight we get a chance to watch two powerhouses play in a winner-take-all format. Both Chicago and Anaheim will look to be physical on the ice tonight, especially in a Game 7 situation where a couple of bounces of the puck will make the difference between advancing or having the season end.

Overtime wouldn't be bad, either. Frederik Andersen will prove to be the difference, getting key stops down the stretch as Anaheim advances to the Cup finals.
