Major League Baseball New York Yankees at Oakland Athletics Start Time, Odds, Free Pick

The Oakland Athletics welcome in the New York Yankees in Major League Baseball action tonight. The game is is scheduled for a 10:05 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB Network. Currently the odds for the game have the Athletics listed as a decent favorite to pick up the win at home.

Oakland isn't playing like the team they used to be, they're now 13 games under the .500 mark and 12 games outside of first place. It's been a strange season to date, especially with the Houston Astros owning not only the best record in the American League but also a five-game advantage over second place Los Angeles in the AL West.

One of the biggest struggles for the Athletics has been their terrible home record, going just 8-16. Oakland just dropped two out of there to the visiting Detroit Tigers.

The Athletics will give the baseball to Jesse Hahn tonight. The youngster will look to continue from his last start, which was a solid complete game shutout of the Detroit Tigers where he struck out five, but walked only one and scattered four hits. Only Chris Young of the Yankees has faced Hahn, going 0-2 with two strikeouts.

The Yankees will start Nathan Eovaldi, a fireballer that has done well so far this season, sporting a record of 4-1 with an ERA of 4.27 for the Yankees. In his last outing he mowed the Royals down, holding them to just a single run in seven innings of work.

Current Athletics are hitting .320 against him in 25 plate appearances. Ike Davis, who is still on the disabled list, is the only Oakland player with more than one hit against Eovaldi.

Tonight we like the Yankees to pick up the win on the road.

Movie NFL Free Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

According to professional sports bettor Steve Fezzik, the early bird can catch a profitable worm if they put money down on Green Bay's opening week showing against the Chicago Bears. With the line currently at -4.5 at most Vegas sports books, Fezzik predicts it will move to -6.5 come game day, as no one is going to be betting on the Jay Cutler-helmed Bears, so the money will pour in on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With that being the case, time strike early while the iron is hot.
