The Baltimore Orioles welcome in the Seattle Mariners for a matinee game in Major League Baseball action on Thursday. The game is scheduled for a 12:35 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv as well as both markets. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Orioles favored to pick up the win at home.

This will be a very early game for the Seattle Mariners, a 9:35 a.m. start by their time clocks. That could prove to be a big impact on this game against the Orioles and it's possible the Mariners come out flat and looking to get out of town. Today's game is a rubber match with each team winning once in the first two games of this three-game stint. 

Getting the ball for the Mariners will be J.A. Happ, a journeyman that has found himself in a good spot this season. Happ has been a nice surprise with a 3-1 record and 2.98 ERA in seven starts. Happ hasn't thrown against the Orioles this season, but has held them to just a .224 average in 134 at bats against him. Steve Pearce owns a .333 average against Happ with six hits in 18 appearances, including two home runs.

Chris Tillman has not had a good start for Baltimore, but he'll look to get back on track in this one. He's 2-5 with a 6.34 ERA so far this year. Camden Yards has not been a successful place for Tillman this season — he's 0-2 in two starts with an 11.57 ERA. He's thrown just 9 1/3 innings and given up 12 runs on 16 hits. Opponents have an average of .381 against him at Camden Yards this season.

This game could be interesting and fun to watch, or it could be a snooze. There's factors working against both teams heading into this one and the team that gets better pitching will get the win. We'll take Seattle.
