The Milwaukee Brewers take on the Detroit Tigers tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:08 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv and locally in both markets. The betting odds for the game have the Tigers favored at home to pick up the victory.
Milwaukee earned a 3-2 win over Detroit last night, now the Tigers have lost two straight games overall. Detroit will send Anibal Sanchez to the bump to try and be the stopgap for the small skid, something oddsmakers believe will happen tonight as they are a pretty substantial favorite in this one. Sanchez is just 3-4 on the season with a 4.76 ERA but he has won three straight Interleague home starts for the Tigers.
The Brewers will start Jimmy Nelson, who is 3-12 as a starter in his career. He's really struggled after winning his first start of the season as well, going 0-4 with a 5.05 ERA in six starts since winning in his season debut. Nelson has given up four earned runs in each of his last two starts, but he did go deep in both, tossing seven innings and 6 2/3 in the other. Nobody on Detroit's roster has faced Nelson yet.
J.D. Martinez and Jose Iglesias each have hit safely in nine straight games, Martinez clubbing a .406 average during that time while Iglesias is hitting .333 in that time. The Detroit shortstop's average of .345 still leads the American League as well. Miguel Cabrera has a six-game hitting streak of his own. Surprisingly enough, Cabrera has an average of just .265 in home games this season compared to his .397 average on the road.
Tonight, though, Detroit will be looking to pick up a win at Comerica in the crisp, cool air. The ball probably won't be flying out of the park tonight as the cool temperatures in Detroit will make it tough. If it comes down to pitchers, Sanchez should be able to get the job done for the Tigers.

NFL Free Pick: Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears
According to professional sports bettor Steve Fezzik, the early bird can catch a profitable worm if they put money down on Green Bay's opening week showing against the Chicago Bears. With the line currently at -4.5 at most Vegas sports books, Fezzik predicts it will move to -6.5 come game day, as no one is going to be betting on the Jay Cutler-helmed Bears, so the money will pour in on Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. With that being the case, time strike early while the iron is hot.
