Major League Baseball Odds Minnesota Twins at Detroit Tigers Free Pick

The Minnesota Twins take on the Detroit Tigers tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:08 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on MLB.tv as well as locally in both markets. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Tigers favored to pick up the win at home.

Ian Kinsler sent the Tigers home celebrating with a walk-off base hit last night in the 10th inning. Both Kyle Gibson and Alfredo Simon threw well in their starts and both teams are hoping they can get the same type of effort tonight from their starters.

The Tigers will be sending Kyle Lobstein to the hill, he's 3-2 with a 3.00 ERA so far this season in five starts. He'll look to continue the Tigers' fine pitching against the Twins so far this year. Minnesota has won nine of their last 11 games overall and have a record of 17-9 against everybody else in the league minus Detroit.

Minnesota is just 1-6 against the Tigers this season, averaging 2.3 runs per game. Against the rest of the league the Twins are scoring an average of 5.2 runs per game.

Ricky Nolasco gets the start for the Twins. He's 2-1 with an ERA of 9.00 so far this year in three starts. One of those starts, his first of the season, was a loss to the Tigers where he surrendered six earned runs in three innings of work. Current Tigers own an average of .313 against him in 80 plate appearances and despite the Tigers' overall struggles at the plate recently, they will be looking for a solid outing tonight.

Detroit owns Minnesota for whatever reason this season. Expect that to continue tonight as Lobstein tosses a solid game, the Tigers beat up Nolasco again and Detroit picked up another win.

Movie MLB: Buying Low on the Indians and the Brewers

Professional sports bettors Steve Fezzik and Teddy Covers look at some possible sleepers in Major League Baseball who have underperformed early in 20156, but have potential to turn it around. One such team is the Cleveland Indians, whose bullpen includes Cy Young winner Corey Kluber, Trevor Bauer and Danny Salazar having slow starts, but plenty of upside. Another team is the Milwaukee Brewers, who seem more apt to perform under new manager Craig Counsell instead of Ron Roenicke.
