Round 2 of the NBA Playoffs get underway on Tuesday night and I will have a free pick in Game 2 between the Washington Wizards and the Atlanta Hawks, which will take place at Philips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have the Hawks listed as 6.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 198. 

Analysis: The Washington Wizards were picked by many to upset the Raptors in this first round series and that is exactly what they did. Now some feel that they have a chance to upset the Hawks in this series and they started off on the right foot with a 106-98 win in game 1. Washington is now 20-24 on the road. The Wizards have gone 13-3-1 ATS in their last 17 games following a ATS win, but just 3-8-1 ATS in their last 12 vs. the Southeast Division. The Wizards have scored 95.4 ppg on 45.2% shooting overall and 33.9% from long range on the road this year. Defensively they have allowed 99.2 pg on 44.2% shooting overall and 37.0% shooting from long range away from home.  

The Atlanta Hawks came into the playoffs as the top seed in the East, but they really struggled with the Nets before crushing them in game 6 to move on. Now the Hawks find themselves down 1-0 to the upstart Wizards, who continue to surprise in the postseason. Atlanta has gone 38-7 SU at home for the year. The Hawks have gone 13-6-2 ATS in their last 21 vs. the Southeast Division, but just 2-12-1 ATS in their last 15 Conference Semifinals games. The Hawks scored 103.2 ppg on 47.0% shooting overall and 38.0% shooting from long range at home this year. Defensively they allowed 95.1 ppg on 43.9% shooting overall and 33.3% shooting from long range at home for the year.  

Pick: The Wizards are hot right now and I will ride them here. They are just a team that is playing with full confidence and even when they were down by DD early in game 1 they didn't panic. They just struck to their gameplan and eventually won by 6 points. The Hawks have gone just 2-5 ATS in the post season so far and really struggled in their series vs the Nets. This is not a team that is playing all that well right now and I see the Wizards finding away again to keep this one close, if not win it outright.
