The Toronto Blue Jays and Boston Red Sox meet up today in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 6:10 p.m. start time and the Major League Betting Odds for the game have the Red Sox favored to pick up the win.

Neither Boston or Toronto has had a great start to the season, but it is early. The Blue Jays are still under .500 so far on the year and tonight they send Drew Hutchinson to the mound. He's 2-0 on the season but has an inflated ERA of 5.48 in his first couple of starts.

Boston has been scoring runs at a decent clip, with 24 plated runs in four games, but they are just 2-2 in those four. The pitching staff just gave up 18 runs to Baltimore in one game, which is obviously bad. Tonight they give the ball to Clay Bucholz to try and stop that problem, but he's 1-2 on the season with a 4.84 ERA in his starts. He threw well last week against the Tampa Bay Rays, striking out 10 hitters in six innings of work, but the offense struggled in that one.

It's kind of been that type of season for the Red Sox. Once they are able to piece it all together they should be just fine. Yesterday they beat Toronto 6-5 after scoring one run each in the eighth and ninth innings.

Hutchinson finished 1-1 with a 6.28 ERA in his three starts against Boston in 2014. He did go 1-0 with a 3.09 ERA at Fenway Park, though, so if he has some confidence going into this one tonight.

There should be some runs scored here, but the Blue Jays own a career average of .283 against him in almost 200 at bats.
