Round 1 of the NBA Playoffs continue on Tuesday night and we will see the San Antonio Spurs travel to the Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Clippers, in game 5 of their best-of-seven series. The game has a start time of 10:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have the Clippers listed as 2 point favorites, while the total is set at 205. 

Analysis: San Antonio didn't start the series off on a good foot as they were blownout in game 1. They then went onto grab the next 2 games, before taking it on the chin at home in game 4. Now the scene shifts back to LA and the Spurs have been mediocre on the road this year, where they are 23-20. San Antonio has gone 10-2 ATS in their last 12 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game, but just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600. The Spurs have scored just 99.1 ppg on 44.6% shooting overall and 34.6% from long range on the road this year. Defensively they have been solid away from home, allowing 96.7 ppg on 44.5% shooting overall and 36.4% shooting from long range.  

The Los Angeles Clippers gained just a split in their first two home games of the series, which gave homecourt advantage to the Spurs. Well after losing game 3 the Clippers took back homecourt with a solid 115-104 win in game 4. Now they are back in LA where they have gone 31-12 on the year. LA has gone 7-3 ATS in their last 10 when their opponent scores 100 points or more in their previous game, but just 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The Clippers have scored 106.0 ppg on 46.9% shooting overall and 37.3% from long range at home this year. Defensively they have been solid at home as they have allowed just 98.2 ppg on 45.3% shooting overall and 32.9% shooting from long range.  

Pick: Going with the Under in this game. This is game 5 of a series that is tied 2-2 and those games tend to be low scoring as each possession is crucial to each team and that means less chances taken. Lets also not that the Spurs score under 100 points on the road and the Clippers have allowed under 100 ppg on their home floor. Yess the Clippers can score in bunches at home, but this Spurs team has played excellent defense on the road this year as they have allowed just 96.7 ppg away from home. This really should be a slow grind it out game that will not reach 200 points.
