The NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs continue tonight when the New York Rangers take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in an NHL Playoffs Game 4 matchup. The game is scheduled for an 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the NBC Sports Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Rangers favored to get the win in this fourth matchup and take a commanding series lead over the Penguins.
Pittsburgh stole home-ice advantage from the Rangers by winning the second game of this series, but they weren't able to capitalize on it. The Rangers got a great game from Henrik Lundqvist, making 23 saves on 24 shots and holding off a flurry of Penguin attackers at time expired in front of the net.
The Rangers won the President's Trophy during the regular season and the rivalry matchup with Pittsburgh has made for a nice, heated series so far. New York has just seven goals through three games, but come this time of year that's often enough to get the win. Derick Brassard has two tallies to lead the Rangers, who have also gotten marks from some of their stars, including Rick Nash and Ryan McDonagh.
Pittsburgh needs a great game from Marc-Andre Fleury in between the pipes. He's been solid, but he has to continue it tonight. The stars for Pittsburgh have to show up as well — Sidney Crosby has scored twice, Evgeni Malkin has not and only has four shots on goal to this point. Obviously the Penguins are a bit banged up, but it's going to take a strong effort from them tonight if they are able to beat the Rangers.
New York, though, will get another great game from Lundqvist in the win.
