The Duke Blue Devils are on the road tonight in ACC College Basketball action when they take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the College Basketball Betting Odds for the game have the Blue Devils listed as a big favorite on the road in this one.

Duke has recovered nicely from their most recent loss at Notre Dame back on Jan. 28 — peeling off seven straight wins while averaging better than 79 points per game. The Blue Devils had to go to overtime to beat North Carolina recently and blew out Clemson in their last game as well. Duke has looked like one of the best teams in America this season while Virginia Tech has been a poor team all year.

Virginia Tech is just 10-17 on the season and have dropped three straight games overall. A pair of wins over Pittsburgh and Georgia Tech are the only victories for Virginia Tech dating back to the beginning of the year, a span that has seen them lost 12 games. Virginia Tech has this game tonight against Duke in addition their next game against Virginia, making this a very tough two-game stretch. 

The Hokies are led in scoring by Adam Smith and Justin Bibbs, both double-digit scorers per game. This will be the first matchup with Duke this season, but the Blue Devils are very good on the defensive side of the basketball, which should prove to be a big problem for the Hokies on offense. Duke allows opponents to score 65 points per game, Virginia Tech scores only 65 points per game.

Jahlil Okafor is a double-double machine, but the Blue Devils also have very good surrounding talents as well. Quinn Cook is the veteran leader they need while youngsters Justise Winslow and Tyus Jones are both excellent scorers for Duke. The Blue Devils probably can't run Virginia down in the ACC standings, but there is still the potential for the Blue Devils to wrap up a No. 1 seed if they keep winning.
