The Marquette Golden Eagles travel to take on the Butler Bulldogs tonight in Big East College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. Currently the College Basketball Betting Odds for the game have the Bulldogs favored by a comfortable margin in this one at home.

Butler comes into tonight's game off a tough loss against Xavier on the road where nothing really went right for the Bulldogs. Butler shot just 35 percent from the floor, including 5-of-16 from deep. It will take a better effort to beat Marquette in this one tonight. 

In the first matchup between these two teams the game went into overtime with the Bulldogs picking up a close four-point win. Andrew Chrabascz tossed in a game-high 30 points in that one for Butler, which is a career-high. He helped Butler come back from a 10-point deficit in the final four-plus minutes of the game. Marquette's decent lead quickly evaporated and Butler was able to force overtime, then win the game.

Marquette has not had a great season, but it's a building one for youngster Steve Wojciechowski. The Golden Eagles are just 11-15 on the season and currently sit in 10th place in the Big East. Aside from a recent win at Seton Hall the Golden Eagles have lost nine times in a 10-game span. The schedule continues to be tough in the final few games as well, as the Golden Eagles take on Providence and St. John's teams that are looking to pick up NCAA Tournament nods.

Losers of seven of their eight road games as well, Marquette is in a tough spot tonight. The Golden Eagles give up more points (66.9) than they score per game (66.5) on average, which clearly has not been a recipe for success. Butler has a pretty solid defense themselves, allowing just 61.6 points per game to opponents on the season, so it could be a tough battle for Marquette to put up points in this one.

Butler, at home, gets it done.
