College Basketball Betting Odds UNLV Rebels vs New Mexico Lobos Free Pick

Saturday college Basketball and we will see the UNLV Runnin Rebels travel to the The Pit to take on the New Mexico Lobos. The game has a start time of 6:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBSSN. Current Vegas betting odds have New Mexico listed as 4.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 124.5.

Analysis:  The UNLV Rebels come in having lost two games in a row, including a 5 point setback at home to Boise State on Wednesday night. UNLV is now 14-12 overall, including just 5-8 in the MWC and 1-7 in true road games. UNLV has gone 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall, but just 5-13 ATS in their last 18 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Rebels have been an average offensive team this year, as they come in ranked 157th in scoring (68.5 ppg), 146th in shooting (44.0%), 118th in 3 point shooting (35.5%) and 264th in FT shooting (66.5%). Defensively the Rebels have been decent as they come in ranked 136th in points allowed (64.8 ppg), 34th in defensive FG% (39.1%) and 119th in 3 point defense (32.8%).

The New Mexico Lobos have really struggled of late as they have lost their last 5 games in a row, which includes a 17 point home loss to San Diego State on Wednesday night. The Lobos are now just 14-12 on the year, including just 6-8 in the MWC and 9-4 at home. New Mexico has gone 13-3 ATS in their last 16 games after scoring less than 50 points in their previous game, but just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Lobos have been a very poor offensive team, as they come in ranked 292nd in scoring (62.3 ppg), 195th in shooting (43.2%), 299th in 3 point shooting (31.0%) and 271st in FT shooting (66.3%). Defensively the Lobos have been very good this year, ranking 19th in points allowed (59.2 ppg), 29th in defensive FG% (39.0%) and 18th in 3 point defense (29.6%).

Pick: Going with the under in this one. The UNLV offense is really struggling right now and it won't get much better vs a New Mexico teams that has allowed just 56.1 ppg at home. New mexico has struggled on offense all year, but it's even worse of late as they have averaged just 55.4 ppg in their last 5 games. This should be a slow paced game between 2 bad offenses and one very good defense. I see around 115 scored in this one.
