Big 12 College Basketball Odds Oklahoma Sooners vs Oklahoma State Cowboys Free Pick

Saturday college basketball and we will see the Oklahoma Sooners travel to Gallagher-Iba Arena to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Current Vegas betting odds have Oklahoma State listed as 2 point favorites, while the total is set at 133.5.

Analysis:  The Oklahoma Sooners come in on a bit of a slump as they have lost 4 of their last 6 games. They do come in off a 45 point blowout win over Texas Tech and are now 13-8 overall, including 4-4 in the Big 12.  The Sooners have gone 6-0 ATS in the last 6 meetings in the series, but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU win of more than 20 points. Oklahoma has been a good offensive team this year, ranking 68th in scoring (72.9 ppg), 127th in shooting (44.4%), 196th in 3 point shooting (33.8%) and 42nd in FT shooting (73.1%). Defensively the Sooners have been solid, ranking 71st in points allowed (61.6 ppg), 10th in defensive FG% (37.4%) and 32nd in 3 point defense (30.0%).

The Oklahoma State Cowboys have also struggled of last as they have won just 3 of their last 7 games, but they do come in off a nice 64-53 home win over Baylor, which now puts them at 10-1 at home for the year. Overall the Cowboys are 14-6, including 4-4 in the Big-12. Oklahoma State has gone 37-12-3 ATS in their last 52 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 61-29-4 ATS in their last 94 home games. The Cowboys have been a rather average offensive squad this year, ranking 143rd in scoring (68.8 ppg), 143rd in shooting (44.1%), 189th in 3 point shooting (34.0%) and 90th in FT shooting (71.6%). The defense for this team has been very good, ranking 33rd in points allowed (59.4 ppg), 24th in defensive FG% (38.3%) and 56th in 3 point defense (31.0%).

Pick: Revenge should be in order here for an Oklahoma State that lost by 17 earlier at Oklahoma. The Cowboys are 10-1 at home, including 4-0 at home in Big 12 play, while the Sooners have gone 2-4 on the road overall, including 1-3 in Big 12 road games. Both offenses are fairly even here, but the Cowboys have a solid edge on defense as they have allowed just 55.4 ppg on this floor, while the Sooners have allowed 70.3 ppg on the road. The home team is 9-3 ATS the last 12 in this series and with OSU having the better defense and the revenge factor I will go with them to win here by at least 7 points.
