Big 12 College Basketball Kansas Jayhawks at TCU Horned Frogs Start Time, Betting Odds

The ninth-ranked Kasnas Jayhawks travel to take on the TCU Horned Frogs tonight in Big 12 College Basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPNu. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Jayhawks favored by a small amount on the road to get the win.

Kansas has gotten back into the Top 10 nationally, winning seven of their last eight games overall. A blowout loss at Temple back around Christmas time humbled the Jayhawks, but solid play since then had helped them reach a 16-3 record, including winning five of their six games in the conference. Last Saturday night they dropped a close contest against a very good Iowa State team, but have won two straight games over ranked opponents by beating Oklahoma and Texas. This could be the spot for a letdown with Kansas taking on a poor TCU team, but Bill Self should have his group ready to go.

The Horned Frogs have lost two straight, nearly beating West Virginia on Saturday. The team's only win in the conference came at Texas Tech. The Frogs have just one player (Kyan Anderson) averaging in double figures this season but do run a ton of guys onto the floor. TCU is going to have to slow this game down, even if they do average 71 points per game. The Horned Frogs are 14-5 on the campaign, but we've noted their poor performance in the conference.

In non-conference play, TCU literally played nobody that is any good. The team's best win on the season came at Ole Mis (RPI: 45) and 12 of their wins this season have come against sub-150 RPI teams.

Kansas is going to beat up the Horned Frogs tonight. The Jayhawks have the top RPI in the country and own 11 wins against the Top 100 so far this season. Perry Ellis is a bruiser the leads them in scoring at 12.8 points per game and nearly seven rebounds. Frank Mason III also gives Kansas a good scoring guard (12.7 ppg) to go along with several young flashy players.

The Jayhawks are continuing to get better and Self's young team is going to have some troubles tonight playing on the road, but they win comfortably in the second half.
