NBA Basketball Betting Odds San Antonio Spurs vs Chicago Bulls Free Pick

The NBA on TNT and the San Antonio Spurs will take on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern). Current Vegas betting odds have San Antonio listed as 6 point favorites, while the total is set at 197.

Analysis:  The San Antonio Spurs have had a solid start to their year, as they come in at 27-16 overall, which includes a mediocre 12-10 mark on the road. The Spurs are in 4th place in the Southwest Division, 3.5 games behind Memphis. San Antonio is 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest and 17-8 ATS in their last 25 vs. the Eastern Conference, but just 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 after scoring 100 points or more in their previous game. The Spurs have been a decent offensive team this year, ranking 11th in scoring (102.0 ppg), 9th in shooting, 5th in 3 point shooting and 11th in FT shooting. Defensively the Spurs have been good this year, ranking 8th in points allowed (97.6 ppg), 9th in defensive FG% and 110th in 3 point defense (31.8%).

The Chicago Bulls have not been playing their best ball of late, as they come in having won just 2 of their last 8 games, which includes a 14 point road loss vs Cleveland on Monday night. The Bulls are still a playoff caliber team as they are 27-16 overall, but just like their football team they have not been great at home, where they are just 12-10. Chicago has gone 15-32-1 ATS in their last 48 games playing on 2 days rest. and 2-8 ATS in their last 10 home games. The Bulls have been a very solid offensive team this year, ranking 9th in scoring (102.1 ppg), 20th in shooting, 8th in 3 point shooting and 3rd in FT shooting. Defensively the Bulls have been very average this year, ranking 15th in points allowed (99.7 ppg), 10th in defensive FG% and 20th in 3 point defense (31.8%).

Pick: Gonna go with the Under in this one. The Bulls have played some high scoring games of late but I just cant see it here, especially with the way the Spurs have been locked in defensively of late allowing just 89.3 ppg in their last 4 games. The Bull have been hit by the injury bug of late and should be without Noah for this one. Because of injuries this team has scored more than 99 points in just 2 of their last 8 games. The Spurs have averaged just 98.3 ppg on the road this year, while allowing just 95.3 ppg away from home. I see the Spurs dictating pace here and that should keep this one around 190 points.
