NBA Betting Odds Chicago Bulls vs Cleveland Cavaliers Free Pick

Monday night NBA and we will see the Chicago Bulls travel to Quicken Loans Arena to take on the Cleveland Cavaliers. The game has a start time of 7:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have Cleveland listed as 3.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 203.5.

Analysis:  The Chicago Bulls have not been playing their best ball of late, as they come in having won just 2 of their last 7 games. The Bulls are still a playoff caliber team as they are 27-15 over and 15-5 on the road.  Chicago is 7-3 ATS in their last 10 road games and 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Cleveland, but just 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games playing on 1 days rest. The Bulls have been a very solid offensive team this year, ranking 9th in scoring (102.3 ppg), 19th in shooting, 9th in 3 point shooting and 4th in FT shooting. Defensively the Bulls have been very average this year, ranking 15th in points allowed (99.5 ppg), 10th in defensive FG% and 17th in 3 point defense (31.8%).

The Cleveland Cavaliers have not had the kind of start to the year that they were expecting, but they do come in off back-to-back road wins over the Clippers and Lakers. In the beginning it was a bit of chemistry that was the problem and then the Injury bug hit Lebron for a few weeks and now there seems to be a power struggle between Lebron and HC Blatt. Cleveland is currently 21-20 on the year, including 11-9 at home. Cleveland is 8-22 ATS in their last 30 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game and 3-12 ATS in their last 15 after allowing 100 points or more in their previous game. Cleveland has been an average offensive squad this year, ranking 16th in scoring (100.7 ppg), 16th in shooting, 19th in 3 point shooting and 14th in FT shooting.  Defensively the Cavaliers have not been all that good, ranking 18th in points allowed (100.7 ppg), 29th in defensive FG% and 19th in 3 point defense.

Pick: Gonna go with the Bulls here, who have been an excellent road team this year, winning 15 of their 20 away from home. They had struggled at home and sometimes getting away from that pressure will do a team good and then they went out and blasted the Celtics on the road. Well Chicago is off a tough home loss to Atlanta, so now getting back on the road shout help them. They are taking on a Cleveland team that is off a lengthy road trip and teams in their first game back have struggled in that possition. We also note that the Cavs have lost their last 4 games played on this floor, which will not help with the pressure that this team is already under. The Cavs have plenty of internal issues and I just can't see that coming home will help them out here. Bad spot for the Cavs as the Bulls take this one outright.
