NBA Betting Odds Oklahoma City Thunder vs Houston Rockets Free Pick

Thursday night NBA and we will see the Oklahoma City Thunder travel to the Toyota Center to take on the Houston Rockets. The game has a start time of 8:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on TNT. Current Vegas betting odds have Oklahoma City listed as 2 point favorites, while the total is set at 209.5.

Analysis:  The Oklahoma City Thunder had a rough start to the year as they began it without both Westbrook and Durant. The Thunder did start the year at 3-12, but have clawed their way back to 18-19, which includes a 7-12 mark on the road. OKC is 5-2 ATS in their last 7 Thursday games, but just 2-9 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 5-16-1 ATS in their last 22 road games. The Thunder have been an average offensive team his year, ranking 19th in scoring (98.8 ppg), 22nd in shooting, 28th in 3 point shooting and 21st in FT shooting.  Defensively the Thunder have been very good, ranking 8th in points allowed (98.0 ppg), 3rd in defensive FG% and 5th in 3 point defense.

The Houston Rockets come in off a tough road loss to the Orlando Magic. The Loss snapped a 4 game win streak and now has Houston and 27-12 on the year, including 13-6 at home. Houston is 8-0 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a losing S.U. record and 42-19-3 ATS in their last 64 Thursday games. The Rockets have been a decent offensive team this year, ranking 13th in scoring (101.8 ppg), 25th in shooting, 17th in 3 point shooting and 28th in FT shooting. Defensively the Rockets have been excellent, as they come in ranked 3rd in points allowed (96.9 ppg), 4th in defensive FG%  and 2nd in 3 point defense.

Pick: I will be going with the Thunder in this one. They have to continue to win if they hope to make a run at the playoffs and they are fully healthy for this game. Oklahoma City has been off for a while, while theis will be Houston's 4th game since Saturday and they just played on the east coast last night. Houston should have tired legs for this one and the Thunder will take advantage with a big road win.
