NFL Playoffs Dallas Cowboys at Green Bay Packers Start Time, Betting Odds, Free Pick

The Dallas Cowboys and Green Bay Packers meet up today in NFL Playoffs action. The game is scheduled for a 1:05 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX. Currently the Betting Odds for the game have the Packers favored by almost a touchdown in this one.

Today's game between Green Bay and Dallas could be the best one of the weekend. But with what Baltimore and New England showed us on Saturday afternoon, it will be tough to overcome. Green Bay finished the season as the second seed in the NFC by winning the North Division, now they get to host the Cowboys. That might not be as big of a problem for Dallas though, as the Cowboys finished the regular season winners of all eight road games this year, including picking up a win at Seattle.

Green Bay won all eight home games, though. Playing at Lambeau Field is not easy for teams this time of year and having to play against Aaron Rodgers just makes it that much worse. Rodgers is very tough to beat in home games, and he's probably going to be the MVP of the league this season. Rodgers tossed for 36 touchdowns on the year, having led the Packers to a 75-14 first-quarter scoring margin over the past eight games. Although he has thrown 25 touchdowns and no picks his last handful of games at home, the playoffs can be a little more difficult. Rodgers is 5-4 as a playoff starter and 1-2 in his last three games at Lambeau in this situation, throwing for 715 yards, four TDs and one pick.

Tomy Romo has played well this season, leading the Cowboys to 12 wins and a playoff victory over Detroit last week. Having weapons like DeMarco Murray, the league's leading rusher, and Dez Bryan, a physical wide receiver that has top-flight speed and great hands, helps. Bryant has no problems playing against the Packers, either, catching 20 combined passes and two TDs in a pair of games against Green Bay. He had 153 receiving yards in last season's meeting. Last year Murray finished with 134 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries against the Packers.

Green Bay has a better run defense than in year's past, and they know having to stop the run with Murray and the big Cowboy offensive line is the top priority. As long as Rodgers is healthy the offense will be fine, with Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb catching nearly everything thrown their way. The duo combined to catch 189 passes this season and 25 receiving touchdowns. Green Bay's secondary isn't the best in the league and they will be tested today.

Romo has proven that he can play in big games, but he always has the negative connotation of costing his team as well. In this game today, Romo is going to have to play well for Dallas to have a chance to win. We know Rodgers isn't completely healthy, but can the offensive line protect him enough to give the Packers time? Green Bay also has done a much better job at running the football this season as Eddie Lacy has proven he's a legitimate back. The offensive line for Green Bay is going to be the difference the game today.
