The Seattle Seahawks welcome in the St. Louis Rams in NFL Football action today on the final weekend of the regular season. The game is scheduled for a 4:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Seahawks favored by nearly two touchdowns in this one.
Seattle can wrap up the top overall spot in the NFC with a victory in this one. That will certainly make the NFC Playoffs a tougher road as Seattle owns arguably the best overall home field advantage in all of professional sports.
The Seahawks have some in-season revenge in this one as well, having already lost to St. Louis back in mid-October.
The Rams come into this contest having covered the number in four of the last five games against Seattle. This game could be pretty close if the Rams bring their best effort and Seattle turns the football over, but don’t expect it.
Pete Carroll’s team wants the top overall seed. Russell Wilson has led the Seahawks to five straight victories and Seattle has looked good in those contests as well.
While they struggled early this season, Seattle once again looks like the real deal.
St. Louis has been a middle of the pack team against the run this season, allowing opponents to rush for 109 yards per game this season. Seattle comes in with the top overall rushing attack in the league by averaging better than 175 on the ground themselves, led by Marshawn Lynch and Wilson, who should be able to find some spots in this game and pound the rock.
Seattle’s defense is once again at an elite level and the Rams will struggle in this one. They didn’t have a big game against the Seahawks the first time but took advantage of decent defense and a special teams touchdown. That won’t happen again.
