The Indianapolis Colts take on the Tennessee Titans in NFL Football on Sunday. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the odds for the game have the Colts favored on the road in this one.
Despite the injury problems for the Titans this season, it’s still strange to see them getting at least a touchdown at home in this one. The Colts have already wrapped up a playoff spot in the AFC and could lack motivation in this one. Indy is saying all the right things by wanting to come out and be as normal as possible, but with their tickets already punched, Tennessee has a chance to pull an upset, especially at home.
Ken Wisenhunt isn’t having the type of season he wanted in Tennesse, but a high draft pick and moving forward could be beneficial for the Titans. A win here would be even bigger for them, including having some momentum for the off season.
Indy is 5-1 against the number when playing at Tennessee the last six games. The Titans have not been able to take care of business in their own building, either, having won and covered just once there this season, beating Jacksonville back in October. Tennessee is really struggling all together, though, having dropped every game since that win over the Jaguars, a span of nine games.
Indy is dominating the AFC South as well, having won 12 in a row and covering each one of those games. Andrew Luck threw for nearly 400 yards the first time these two teams played, completing four touchdowns.
If the Colts are going to treat this as a normal game and not hold anything back, Luck should have another big game. The Titans have been getting drilled by opponents all season, having lost nine times by at least two scores. That’s not a good trend when one of the best offenses in the NFL is coming to town.
Tennessee is going to have to get turnovers, really work the clock when they have the football and somehow get a motivational edge. That’s just not likely, though.
