Sunday NFL and we will see the Kansas Chiefs take on the Pittsburgh Steelers at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have the Steelers listed as 3 point favorites, while the total is set at 48.

Analysis:  The Kansas City Chiefs are still alive for a playoff spot but they have some work to do and need some help along the way. They do come in off a solid 31-13 home win over the Raiders, which now gives them an 8-6 record on the year. Still if the playoffs started today they would be out.  Kansas City is 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. AFC, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a S.U. win and 11-5 ATS in their last 16 road games.  The Chiefs have not been a great offensive team, ranking 22nd in total yards, 30th in passing, 7th in rushing and 14th in scoring (23.0 ppg). The defense for Kansas City has been very good, ranking 8th in yards allowed, 2nd vs the pass, 26th vs the run and 5th in points allowed (18.1 ppg). 

The Pittsburgh Steelers come into this game off back to back road wins over the Falcons and Bengals. If the playoffs started today the Steelers would be in with their 9-6 record. Pittsburgh is still a half a game behind the Bengals in the AFC North. Pittsburgh is 6-0 ATS vs. a team with a winning record and 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 games in Week 16, but 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.  Pittsburgh has been a solid offensive team this year, ranking 1st in total yards, 2nd in passing, 10th in rushing and 6th in scoring (27.8 ppg). The defense for Pittsburgh has not been great, ranking 19th in yards allowed, 25th vs the pass, 9th vs the run and 21st in points allowed (24.2 ppg). 

Pick: I will look to take the Steelers in this one. Both teams are fighting for their playoffs lives and the Chiefs do have the better defense, but the Pittsburgh offense has been excellent this year. Pittsburgh comes in having scored 32 ppg in their last 4 games, while at home they have averaged 35 ppg. For the Chiefs they have put up just 20.3 ppg in their last 4 games and just 20.3 ppg on the road. Yes the Chiefs have the better defense, but still I can't see them scoring enough points to get the win or the cover here.
