The Cleveland Browns and Carolina Panthers meet up in NFL action today. The game is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on CBS. Currently the NFL Betting Odds for the game have the Panthers favored at home.

Carolina can still win the NFC South this season, but they have to win out and get some help with the Saints not winning their final two games. The South has been a problem all season in regards to finding the best overall team.

The Panthers defense should have a major impact on this game as Johnny Manziel didn't play too well in his first start last week. The NFL game seems to be a bit fast for Manziel and Carolina now has had a week to prepare for him. The Browns had some aspirations of being successful this season, but now it looks like they will be finishing the season below the .500 mark with this game and next week at Baltimore.

Cleveland is going to have to run the football effectively to keep Manziel from having another terrible game. The Browns have dropped three straight games overall and four of five, playing themselves out of playoff contention. Now they have to see what they have going for them heading into next season. 

Look for Carolina to have a solid gameplan for Manziel. The Panthers will probably take it slow with QB Cam Newton as well, but he won't have to play his best game for them to win.
