Sunday NFL and we will see the Baltimore Ravens take on the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in Houston Texas. The game has a start time of 1:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on CBS. Current Vegas odds have the Ravens listed as 4.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 42.  

Analysis:  The Baltimore Ravens come in with a solid 9-5 record on the year and if the playoffs started today they would be in. Baltimore has won two in a row and 4 of the last 5 games and they have gone 4-3 on the road this year. The Ravens are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss, but just 3-9-1 ATS in their last 13 vs. AFC and 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games in December. Baltimore's offense has been very solid this year, ranking 10th in total yards, 14th in passing, 5th in rushing and 8th in scoring (26.9 ppg). The defense for this team has also been solid, as they come in ranked 13th in yards allowed, 30th vs the pass, 3rd vs the run and 6th in points allowed (19.1 ppg).

The Houston Texans went just 2-14 last year, but like most expect they have bounced back this year going 7-7 so far. They will still fall short of the playoffs but it is something to build on for next year. Houston is 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS loss and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 vs. AFC, but just  4-10 ATS in their last 14 home games. The Texans have been average on offense, ranking 15th in total yards, 25th in passing, 4th in rushing and 13th in scoring (23.1 ppg). The Houston defense comes in ranked 24th in yards allowed, 26th vs the pass, 14th vs the run and 7th in points allowed (19.8 ppg).   

Pick: I will take a shot with the Over in this game. Both teams have not allowed a whole lot of points this year, but something tells me they will in this game. The Ravens have averaged 27.6 ppg on the road this year, while the Texans have scored a very solid 24.5 ppg at home. The Houston defense gives up plenty of yards overall and while they have allowed just 19.8 ppg overall, they have given up 21.7 ppg at home. The Ravens have allowed just 19.1 ppg overall, but they given up 24.5 pg on the road. 28-21 sounds about right for this one.
