NCAA basketball on Tuesday night and we will see the Alabama Crimson Tide take on the Wichita State Shockers at Charles Koch Arena in Wichita, Kansas The game has a start time of 9:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN 2. Vegas odds have the Shocker listed as 12.5 point favorites, while the total sits at 142.

Analysis: The Alabama Crimson Tide come in with a decent 6-2 record on the year, but their will be their best opponent they have faced yet. Alabama is 0-1 in true road games with that lone loss being a 97-84 decision at Xavier. The Tide are 2-12-2 ATS in their last 16 games following a S.U. win and 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 vs. Missouri Valley, but also 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a ATS loss. Alabama has been a very good offensive team this year, ranking 31st in scoring (78 ppg), 93rd in shooting (45.9%), 160th in 3 point shooting (34.7%) and 1st in FT shooting (78.8%). On defense the Tide have not been so good, ranking 281st in points allowed (71.4 ppg), 277th in defensive FG% (45.2%) and 281st in 3 point defense (36.5%).

The Wichita State Shockers had a magical year last year, but they did lose allot of talent from that squad. Still they have run out to a nice 7-1 mark on the year so far, which includes a perfect 5-0 mark at home. The Shockers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a losing road record, 42-14-1 ATS in their last 57 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 22-8-1 ATS in their last 31 non-conference games. Wichita has also been a very good offensive team, ranking 29th in scoring (78.1 ppg), 77th in shooting (76.6%), 78th in 3 point shooting (37.6%) and 282nd in FT shooting (64.6%). Defensively they have been decent this year, ranking 59th in points allowed (59.9 ppg), 148th in defensive FG% (41.4%) and 290th in 3 point defense (36.8%).  

Pick: Gonna look at the over in this one. You heard me right... The Over. Both of these teams can score as they both average 78 ppg. Alabama has become more of an up tempo team this year, while their defense has been very bad so far, allowing 71.4 ppg 0n 45.2% shooting overall and 36.5% from long range. The Wichita defense may only allow 50.9 ppg, but they do rank 148th in defensive FG% and 290th in 3 point defense. The Tide are number 1 in the nation in FT shooting, and while Wichita State is very bad in that department, that might set up for more fouling at the end of the game by Bama, which will also give themselves more scoring chances at the end of the game. Should be a game played in the upper 140s.
