The fifth-ranked Wisconsin Badgers travel to take on the Milwaukee Panthers tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 9:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. Currently the odds for the game have Wisconsin favored by a comfortable margin in this one.
Wisconsin dropped their only game of the season last week, losing to Duke in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Badgers have one of the best teams in the country full of experienced players under head coach Bo Ryan, but they'll need to bounce back after a couple of poor performances — Wisconsin beat Marquette on Saturday in a slug-it-out game that was pretty poor.
Frank Kaminsky is averaged 16.4 points and 8.9 boards a game this season and the senior has a legitimate shot at being a First Team All-American. Kaminsky is one of the best big men in the country and he'll look at attack the Panthers on the interior tonight as they aren't a spectacular rebounding team.
Milwaukee has only one player average double figures for the season in Steve McWhorter — 16.2 points per game. Milwaukee is very outmatched in this one tonight, even at home. Wisconsin has a plethora of threats on the floor and all can score. Nigel Hayes, Sam Dekker and Traevon Jackson are all averaging in double digits as well for the Badgers, who can spread the basketball and cause matchup problems for Milwaukee.
Look for the Badgers to pound the rock inside, score easily and pick up a win on the road.
