College Football Betting Odds Kentucky Wildcats vs Louisville Cardinals Free Pick

Saturday college football and we will see the Kentucky Wildcats take on the Louisville Cardinal at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in Louisville/ Kentucky. The game has a start time of 12:00 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on ESPN. Current Vegas odds have Louisville listed as 13.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 52.

Analysis: The Kentucky Wildcats have shown improved play on the field this year, but they may be wearing down as they have lost their last 5 games in a row to fall to 5-6 on the year. Still a win here and they should land in a bowl somewhere. The Cats are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games, but just  7-19 ATS in their last 26 road games and 0-7 ATS in their last 7 games in November. The Kentucky offense has been rather average this year, ranking 75th in total offense, 54th in passing, 81st in rushing and  72nd in scoring (28.2 ppg). The defense has struggled for this team, ranking 72nd in total yards allowed, 31st vs the pass, 100th vs the run and 89th in points allowed (30.1 ppg).

The Louisville Cardinals come in off a tough hard fought 31-28 win over Notre Dame on the road last week. The win now has Louisville at 8-3 on the year which includes a 4-2 record at home. The Cardinals are  9-4 ATS in their last 13 games overall and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. SEC, but just 3-10 ATS in their last 13 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. Louisville has been a decent offensive squad this year, ranking 76th in total yards, 58th in passing, 75th in rushing and 49th in scoring (31.5 ppg). The defense for this team has been very good, ranking 7th in total yards, 35th vs the pass, 3rd vs the run and 14th in points allowed (18.7 ppg).

Pick: I am gonna take the Cardinals in this one. I know they are off a big road win over Notre Dame, but I don't expect a letdown here, as they will be taking on their biggest rival of the the year and a win here would probably net them a better bowl invite. Te Cats had a good start to their year and at times really showed tat they are improved, but they have lost 5 in a row, been outscored 113-47 in their last 2 games and have been outscored by 25.3 ppg on the road this year. The Cats have allowed 43.8 ppg in their last 5 games and they will be taking on a healthy Louisville offense that has scored 32.5 ppg in their last 4 games. The Cats have averaged just 14.8 ppg on the road, while Louisville has allowed just 18.7 ppg overall and 20.8 ppg at home. No way the Cats score enough here to keep this one close.
