Sunday NFL and we will see the Dallas Cowboys take on the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game has a start time of 8:30 pm (Eastern) and will be televised on NBC. Current Vegas odds have the Cowboys listed as 3.5 point favorites, while the total is set at 47.5.
Analysis: The Dallas Cowboys have had a nice year so far as they come in at 7-3 on the year and are tied with the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. The Cowboys ave also played well on the road, where they are 4-0 so far. The Cowboys are 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games in Week 12 and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 meetings, but also 3-9 ATS in their last 12 games in November. The Cowboys have been a very solid offensive team this year as they come in ranked 6th in total yards, 17th in passing, 2nd in rushing and 8th scoring (26.1). The defense has been very average for this team, ranking 15th in yards allowed, 14th vs the pass, 12th vs the run and 10th in points allowed (21.2 ppg).
The New York Giants are in the midst of a horrible season so far as they have gone just 3-7 overall and 2-3 at home. Last week was just another disappointing game for them as they lost 16-10 to the Niners, in a game they had 5 turnovers in and still had a chance to win. The Giants are 19-45-2 ATS in their last 66 games in November and 0-5 ATS vs. a team with a winning record, but 8-1 ATS at home with revenge vs a division opponent that off a bye week. The Giants have been a below average offensive squad, ranking 19th in total yards, 15th in passing, 21st in rushing and 21st in scoring (20.5 ppg). The defense for the Giants has been horrible this year, ranking 31st in yards allowed, 22nd vs the pass, 32nd vs the run and 26th in points allowed (26.3 ppg).
Pick: Let’s take a shot at the Over in this one. Some crazy crap goes on in these night games and im hoping it does so tonight which will lead to more points. The Dallas offense has had a week off to try and get back to putting up the numbers that they did earlier in the year, which included scoring 26 or more in 5 of their first 7 games. During that stretch they scored 31 points vs this same Giants squad and should have similar success vs a defense that is 31st in yards allowed and 27th in points allowed, giving up 26.3 ppg. The Giant offense isn’t all that strong, but they are capable of getting some scores vs a Dallas defense that really has played over its head this year. The 0ver is 8-3-1 the last 12 meetings in New York and I expect that trend to continue here.
